Negative space

Wall-hanged cubic furniture made in walnut.

A piece of furniture that challenges your perception of furnitures, it is a piece which questions the use of space and has a great deal of challenges in its construction.

One cube is assembled with bridle joints, with a tenon going through to create a solid three-way joint. The second cube is assembled with a complicated and artistic Japanese three-way joint. Both cubes are then connected together creating a small cubic shape in the middle. The drawers are attached with dovetails and slide on a wooden, handmade, centre rail.

All the pieces and joints are handmade in solid walnut.

This unique piece was built for the 2019 Stockholm furniture fair.
